"Beware of Mr. Majcher" is the debut single from solo artist Izzy Majcher. With this song, he establishes himself as a new voice in the Seattle rock scene, combining deep synthesizers, distorted guitars and post-punk drumming into a driving song that at once feels familiar and brand-new.
Bio
Izzy Majcher is an alternative rock artist determined to make the most interesting indie-rock that he can, combining elements for various genres, such as the heavy-hitting drums of Death From Above 1979, the electronics of Holy Fuck and the saxophones of Sons of Kemet. He fluidly pulls together elements from classical, jazz and hard-rock into his indie-rock style and uses those sounds to craft well-thought-out and catchy songs. He is always pushing himself as a multi-instrumentalist and has a healthy mix of piano- and guitar-led songs, and also pushes himself to play instruments such as saxophone, clarinet and glockenspiel in order to add texture to his songs. He put out a video for the song “Beware of Mr. Majcher” at the start of the year and the video has gotten a strong response on Youtube. He has since self-released his recently re-recorded debut album Briar Rose and has two more albums soon to be released, the jazz-influenced In The Parlor and the dark, moody What Exactly Makes Me Blue, which features the hard-hitting “Beware of Mr. Majcher”. More music videos spanning all three albums are on their way.
